Energising Assets

Connecting asset, energy and investment strategy to residents' lives

Get in touch

Housing providers have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to improve homes, reduce fuel poverty, support better health outcomes and accelerate decarbonisation. Yet delivering this change requires more than individual retrofit projects or compliance-driven investment programmes. It requires a different way of thinking about homes, assets and long-term value.

This is why we have created our Energising Assets division to help housing providers navigate this journey with confidence.

Bringing together expertise from , Energiesprong UK, Baringa Partners and ourselves, Energising Assets supports organisations to align asset strategy, energy strategy and investment planning around a shared goal: creating healthier homes, stronger communities and more sustainable places.

A Different Way of Thinking About Investment

This is  a shift from reactive intervention to preventative investment, helping organisations invest ahead of failure, improving resident outcomes while protecting the long-term performance of their assets.

It looks beyond financial return alone and evaluate social, health and environmental impact.

Success is measured  by the difference those homes make to the people living in them.

Unlocking New Investment Models

Delivering large-scale improvement programmes requires significant investment, but traditional capital funding is not the only route available.

We help organisations explore innovative approaches including Energy as a Service (EaaS), Heat as a Service (HaaS), impact investment and off-balance-sheet financing models.

These structures have the potential to reduce upfront capital requirements, attract external investment, transfer performance risk and support long-term asset transformation at scale.

Independent and Evidence-Led

A defining feature of Energising Assets is its independence.

There are no commercial interests. Our recommendations are shaped by evidence, practical experience and learning gathered from across the sector allowing us to bring together housing providers, investors, regulators, governance specialists and delivery organisations to support informed decision-making and long-term thinking.

Building Change Through Shared Learning

We help organisations benefit from shared learning, practical frameworks, emerging funding models and real-world experience from across the sector. By sharing both successes and lessons learned, we can support housing providers to move forward with greater confidence and avoid repeating mistakes already encountered elsewhere.

The goal is simple: healthier residents, better-performing homes, lower energy costs and more sustainable communities.

Start a Conversation

Every organisation's starting point is different. Some are exploring how asset investment can deliver wider social, health and environmental outcomes. Others are already developing ambitious programmes and looking for the confidence to take the next step.

Wherever you are on that journey, we'd welcome a conversation.

There is no sales pitch, just an open discussion about your ambitions, your challenges and the opportunities ahead.
