Their input on smart hot water solutions and grid optimisation will add to the Hub’s knowledge base for housing providers
Mixergy have recently been awarded the King’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation
Mixergy, the smart technology company that helps people save money on their hot water bills, have become the latest members of the Healthy Homes Hub.
The Hub is a membership body promoting active collaboration across academia, health and housing to deliver healthier living environments, a knowledge hub for housing providers to deliver healthy homes and acts as a voice and platform to articulate the value of good health in the home.
Mixergy combines research and development capability in smart hot water solutions and grid optimisation with a technology licensing and strategic partnership model that has a focus on new build properties, social housing retrofits, and commercial properties.
Already working across several social housing property programmes, they have just been awarded the Kings Award for Enterprise in Innovation to recognise their technology that helps heat only the water that is needed in the home. When this is integrated with solar PV, heat pumps and smart tariffs, it helps households cut bills, lower emissions and helps to create flexibility on the grid.
Commenting on their membership, Tom Oldfield, Head of External Affairs at Mixergy said:
“We are focused on improving outcomes for residents through our hot water solutions. That includes helping provide living conditions that benefit residents’ health. If we can improve the health of the home, we can create mutual benefits for individuals and communities alike. We value the work of the Hub, and we are excited to contribute to it further as a member.”
Jenny Danson, Chief Executive of the Healthy Homes Hub added:
“The creation of truly healthy homes is a task that requires collaboration and partnership. We are delighted to welcome Mixergy as our latest member and look forward to the contribution they can make to our knowledge portfolio for the sector.”
